Mexican Martini!
The Mexican Martini, a popular cocktail that originated near the Mexican border in Texas, has become a staple in bars and restaurants across the nation. It is a variation on a classic Martini, but with a Mexican twist. The components generally used for a Mexican Martini include tequila, orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec), lime juice, orange juice and olive brine. This cocktail delivers a fresh and zesty taste, perfectly balancing sweet, sour, and savory flavors. This makes it an ideal beverage for sipping on a hot summer day or pairing it with Mexican cuisine. Personally, I prefer the Mexican Martini over any Classic or Dirty Martini. I appreciate the distinct taste of the olive brine. And, tequila is always my preferred spirit over vodka and gin.

Ingredients Mexican Martini
2 + 1/2 oz tequila blanco
1 + 1/2 oz Cointreau
1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
1/2 oz green olive brine

Garnish
Lime wedge
Green olive

Glass
Martini glass

Combine all ingredients with ice in a shaker and shake until chilled, about 25 seconds. The Mexican Martini will be served in a Martini glass without ice. Therefore, the ingredients need to cool down very well while shaking. Strain into a Martini glass. Rub the lime wedge on the rim of the glass for extra flavor. Attach the lime with the green olive to the rim of the Martini glass as a garnish.

Enjoy the Mexican Martini and pair it with your favorite homemade Mexican dishes and any spicy cuisine for a delightful experience!
