Not all oranges are created equal

This orange didn’t come from a store. It came from a neighbor. It was small, slightly rough, and far from that uniform supermarket shine. Its skin was mottled in beautiful patches of green and gold—imperfect by industry standards, but perfect in every way that matters.

The moment I sliced it open, sunlight hit just right and the juice caught the light. It looked—honestly—like the definition of sweet. And when I tasted it? It was better than any orange I’ve ever bought.
